It is fairly safe to say that Elie Saab is quickly becoming one of my favorite designers. The creativity and intricacy of his garments always blows me away. I find myself marveling at his looks for countless hours (not hyperbole). Look 19 from his Resort 2019 collection is no exception.
It’s All In The Details
I haven’t purchased this garment, however the quality appears to be outstanding. This dress, made in Italy, is composed of 97% viscose, 2% polyamide, and 1% silk. I love how thick the material is. It doesn’t appear that it will rip easily and reminds me of a cable knit. I appreciate the chain-link, rope detail around the neck line and hem. Also of note, the asymmetrical hemline adds even more sex appeal to this already attention grabbing LBD (little black dress). I am game for anything off the shoulder as it is, for me at least, a classy way to expose flesh. Speaking of which, the peek-a-boo lace paneling adds intrigue and extra femininity (two of my favorite things).
The rear of the garment features a zip closure which is appropriate, so as to avoid unnecessary stretching of the dress by trying to pull it over the hips or shoulders.
A Pretty Penny
This dress is currently sold out, which comes as no surprise given the beauty of this sexy, little number. It is listed at $2,475 via Moda Opederandi and requires a $1,237.50 deposit. Shipments are expected to take place by May 15, 2019.
