B-day Surprise

Happy birthday to me! I wasn’t expecting anything since my husband had already splurged on me with the New Wave Chain Bag for Christmas. Well I guess he just couldn’t resist. When he came home with a Chanel shopping bag, I knew I’d be happy. This is the second year in a row he’s surprised me with Chanel. I didn’t even hint it to him, so that’s impressive. I’m all for embracing this tradition!

Chanel Chance Eau Tendre Eau De Parfum

Chance by Chanel comes in a variety of mixes. Eau Tendre EDP (Eau De Parfum) is named as such for the hint of Rose Accord added to the fragrance profile. Romantic that I am, I love that. The thought of spraying myself with “tender roses” sounds like a dream come true. I keep Rose essential oil around for ritual work, after all. My childhood nickname was June Rose as well.

Chance Encounters

My first impression is that I have a new favorite fragrance. I have two other Chanel EDPs and Chance has left them unused for the most part. Don’t get me wrong; I still love my No. 5. I’m just rather fond of how young, sweet and refreshing Chance Eau Tendre Eau De Parfum is. It doesn’t take itself too seriously. I’m also obsessed with the beauty of the bottle. I love the silver band they wrapped around it and the metal plate on the bottom. Nice touch. Since Eau Tendre is characterized by Rose Accord, the liquid is pink. It adds such a lovely compliment to my glam room vanity.

More Is More

Last year my husband bought Chanel No. 5 as part of a set. This year he decided to gift something new to me; Le Volume mascara. I was so excited to receive it, as I’m currently wanting to test out luxury makeup brands. Turns out he knew the sales rep, so she threw in a bunch of sample goodies too. She also did such a beautiful job wrapping the boxes that I kept the bows. Not sorry!
