Makeup Monday !!!

Swatches Necessary
I’ve been loving my Dior 5 Couleurs Couture eyeshadow palettes. The colors are smooth, they blend well and are named after collections from the iconic fashion house. Now, the time has finally come to swatch them for you all! In this LookBook I’ve provided swatches from 859 Pink Corolle and 879 Rouge Trafalgar. Let’s hop right in, shall we?
859 Pink Corolle
859 Pink Corolle was the first palette I purchased from this line. It’s the one that started the obsession with this formula. Below are photos of each individual color alone, with a topper and on deep and “fair” skin. I’ve used the inside of my forearm for the deep skin swatches. To get an idea of what the pigments look like on lighter skin, I’ve used my fingertips. I’ve labeled each color 1 through 5 as per the packaging. I’ve used no filter in an attempt to show the color as true to life as possible.

Colors one, three and four look quite similar in these photos. That is not the case in real life. The photos of the pan are more true to real life. It truly is a diverse and beautiful palette.

No. 5 topped with No. 4

I have makeup beneath my nails: please excuse the mess. 😅
879 Rouge Trafalgar
879 Rouge Trafalgar was my most coveted color story from Dior’s 5 Couleurs Couture line. I saw it demonstrated in real time on their website and simply had to have it. I’m so happy that it’s a part of my collection. As you’ll see from the following swatches, it did not disappoint.

Number 5 appears brown in the pan, yet when swatched it is decidedly plum. Number 2 is a sheer, chunky glitter. This surprised me, as I thought it would be more of a shimmer, similar to Number 1 from Pink Corolle.
Thoughts?
I think both palettes are beautiful and can compliment most, if not all skin tones. What do you think? Could you pull off these color stories? Are you considering any palettes from this line? Let me know.
I hope you enjoyed this swatch party! Got any questions about the palettes featured here? Leave them in the comment section.
All My Love,
The Luxe Angel

Oh isn’t it! I love it so much. I wish it had a longer shelf life. It’s only 6 months. I’m gonna need to do a loooot of looks so I can get all the sweet blessings out of it in time. Thanks for reading and commenting. Enjoy your weekend! 💋💋💋

Yes Chanel shadow shelf life is 3x as long. 18 months. But their colors are a bit more sheer. I think the Dior shelf life is shorter due to it having more natural ingredients. Not certain.

That makes alot of sense actually , kind of like how Bite lipsticks expire faster than normal . Which I really miss the old Bite Lipstick formula 😢 . Hopefully they bring it back .

I only tried one Bite lip product and it wasn’t my color, so I didn’t get attached. I don’t know if anything is going to rip me away from Chanel though. The quality is phenomenal. I liked the Mac X Teyana Taylor lipsticks but I just can’t go back to lipsticks that rub off. Longwear all the way. I do reserve the right to change my mind, however; product junkie tendencies are real. 😅

That’s totally understandable. The bite lipsticks I had were actually not my color either , but I liked the texture and the fact I could mix them with some other colors . I had a really cool greige lip going on by mixing a brick red shade and a very pale periwinkle color . I try to mix and match finishes and such . I do like glosses but comfortable no budge liquid matte lipsticks are great to use too .
