Shocking Pink

The time has come! I have been so excited to try color 59, Shocking Pink, from Chanel’s Le Rouge Duo Ultra Tenue. I have two other colors and my heart skipped a beat when I saw this one. I was a bit apprehensive as I considered if this shade of pink would work for me. I thought perhaps I’d need a flesh toned lip liner to pull it off. Not so! The wonderful thing about Chanel is even their brightest colors are sophisticated, rather than clown-like. No lip liner required as this beautiful pink shade looks gorgeous on my chocolate skin. Shadow Work

I love experimenting and upping my eyeshadow application game. Hooded eyes come with a bit of a learning curve and I’ve greatly improved. Today, I’m using the shadow that came in my Harmonie De Camélias Travel Makeup Palette from Chanel. The palette comes with six shadows, three warm and three cool, and they are splendid. The palette is worth it for the shadows alone. In the following photos I’m attempting to show the eyeshadow look in closer detail.
