50 Shades Of Rouge Ft. Chanel Le Crayon Lèvres | Makeup Of The Day | #MOTD | The Luxe Angel

Okay, it’s more like three shades…

50 Shades Of Rouge Ft. Cis Le Crayon Lèvres | Makeup Of The Day | #MOTD | The Luxe Angel 188 Brun Carmin

50 Shades Of Rouge

Today’s lookbook features a couple of my favorite reds and a newbie I’ve been meaning to share. It’s absolutely no secret how much I love Rouge Trafalgar from Dior’s line of 5 Couleurs Couture eyeshadow palettes. I’ve decided to grace my lids with its presence this morning.

Another red I’ve been loving is Dior’s 999 Rouge Blush. I’ve been playing with it for the past couple of weeks. It’s an intense pigment that looks very sultry on my skin.

However, the day belongs to Chanel’s Le Crayon Lèvres in the color 188 Brun Carmin. I picked this long wearing, lip pencil up in my previous Chanel haul. As you will soon see, I’m very glad I did.

I hope you enjoy this lookbook. As usual, the product information and links for this complete makeup look are listed below. Enjoy and happy shopping!

Le Crayon Lèvres

188 Brun Carmin

I originally purchased this lip pencil to use as a lip liner. I then learned from the Chanel website that it can also be applied as an all over lip color. I’ve used it as such ever since. It makes a beautiful matte lipstick. Best of all, it’s comfortable.

Brun Carmin is a deeper red than my Daring Red from Chanel Le Rouge Duo Ultra Tenue and, as the name implies, obviously more brown. The Ultra Tenue lipstick also has a shiny top coat. Thus, I’m very happy to have another red in a different finish.

Rouge Trafalgar

I used three colors from the Dior Rouge Trafalgar eyeshadow palette. I placed number four all over the lid. I used number 5 in the outer V and in the crease. I placed just a touch of color number one in the inner corner of my lid, as a bit if a topper.

Take Two

I’ve taken photos with my phone as well, in order to show the look in varying photo quality. For whatever reason, the Rouge Blush shows up much better on my Iphone.

In Too Deep

I really enjoyed this look. It’s decidedly moody, just like today’s sky. There’s a lovely thunderstorm outside. Deep skies call for deep shades of rouge. These deep, warm hues are really making my day, but what say you? Leave your thoughts in the comment section.
