Glow Up!

As promised in “No. 1 De Chanel,” I’m revealing my latest lipstick purchase, Rouge Coco Bloom in shade 114 Glow. If you’ve followed my blog for any length of time, then you’ll know how much I love this lipstick from Chanel. It’s very pigmented, hydrating, shiny, and offers a plumping effect too. Since I loved the first shade that I bought from this line, I decided to get another.

I purchased shade 114 Glow because I wanted a shade that would serve as a neutral color. I use this super moisturizing lipstick as a lip balm, so I wanted a nude-toned color that wouldn’t take much effort to match. 114 Glow fit the bill in my opinion. Without further ado, here are the results. 

I’m very pleased with this color! I enjoy that it isn’t flashy like reds or pinks, so i can wear it on more casual days. It’s a deep brown with a touch of red and serves very well as a no-fuss color. I don’t need a lip liner with it, so I can re-apply it at will. For these reasons it’s my on-the-go favorite.

Do note, however, that if you’re concerned about bleeding then you may want a liner just in case. Hydrating lipsticks can tend to bleed. I haven’t experienced bleeding personally, but everyone is different.
