Ultra Lust Ft. Dior Ultra Rouge Lipstick | Mini Review | The Luxe Angel

Ultra Lust

Do you recall “Vanilla Diorama?” In that haul I revealed my Dior fragrance and also a new lipstick. It’s been a while but I’m finally featuring the lipstick; it’s 485 Ultra Lust from Dior’s Ultra Rouge line.

485 Ultra Lust is described as a rosewood. I enjoy this color because it looks like the color of my bottom lip yet brighter. It makes a great neutral, which is what I was looking for. I do, however, have to wear this color with a flesh-toned lip liner. My preferred way to wear this shade is with my Chanel Le Crayon Lèvres liner and a lip gloss on top. I’ve been using the Dior Lip Maximizer in the color 026 Plum. That’s the combination in the photos that follow.

Ultra Rouge

I must admit, while I enjoy the color 485, I am not a fan of Ultra Rouge as a lipstick. It’s supposed to be hydrating, but to me it just feels sticky. It can also tend to look patchy in my experience.

Due to the sticky texture, it doesn’t stay in place very well. The color will migrate and can interfere with the desired look, as you’ll see in the photos below.

As you can see, the color moved to my upper lip from the bottom lip. It looks as if my lipstick is smeared.

All in all I enjoy this color and the beautiful packaging. I wouldn’t purchase from this lipstick line again however. I enjoy the classic Rouge Dior line far more. As for hydration, I prefer Chanel’s Rouge Coco Bloom; it’s not even a competition.

This was only my experience. What say you? Do you enjoy the Ultra Rouge line fron Dior? Don’t let my experience stop you from trying it out.

I hope you enjoyed this mini review. Leave any questions in the comment section.

All My Love,

The Luxe Angel
